Our first low day.

We went out to the land today as the excavator came back to work more on our job for a few days.

To start with our "3 day job" has now turned into a 7 day job and that's only half way done. We don't have enough rocks for the rockwall at the back, and to truck rocks in costs 12K. Just to top it off the rain has been relentless and he can only do limited work.

At the moment we're unsure what the next step will be. Most likely we will have to search for rocks on the land, to put the size needed in perspective we need 3 tonne boulders each, and the equivalent of 20 large truck loads (30t trucks). Which is a lot of rock. I am concerned about getting the rocks from elsewhere on the land as our preference is not to cause to much disturbance to the landscape and wildlife, but this could be unavoidable.

and all that is only for the shed site.

As for the house, the piers arrived last week, but they were the wrong ones. New ones were suppose to come this week, but we are yet to here anything.

Good times
